I've already gotten into my dream college, I think she just still wants to control me but she knows she's finally losing this war because I'm 18 and technically, I don't have to do anything she tells me to anymore.

That time I had to tell her this was the wrong number. She got so embarrassed that she just made a sort of screeching sound and hung up.

When my mom was younger and before the age of caller ID this one elderly woman my mom never knew would call her phone and talk for hours about random things without letting my mom get a word in. If she hung up it would lead to her constantly calling back until she answered

I bet my mom was ecstatic the first day Caller ID was made

Aww! It sounds like that lady had Alzheimer's or something. She probably thought she was calling a relative or something she hadn't seen in years. My great-grandmother does that. IDK how, but she dialed my best friend once and talked to him for hours about random things without even knowing who he was. My best friend just let her talk about her day to him. It was so cute.
