I am 65 laff with maxxed gags. I also invite based on gags. I get invited a lot now I am a two-face.
Suits do not correlate to a toon's experience or skill. I invite based on gags
I'm the same laff but I'm a Hollywood somehow XD
Right gags will get you a long way.
in the final battle, it can (keyword, can) not saying every caller 1 sucks but a lot do.
I just go. I don't check gags and I could care less about suit levels. If there is a group I will go. I'm also good at stunning though and have soloed the vp multiple times... so it's mostly confidence that no matter how bad toons are I'm not going sad. To date, my blue pig has never gone sad in toontown.
I look at gags. I figure if a toon took the time to train gags they are pretty good imo. Not a lot of toons take the time to train and i think that it is an essential part of being able to help your team in boss battles. Ik people look at laff as well but, i figure if they have really good gags they will know how to play and if they dont know the strats they would at least listen to someone giving them strat advice. So far i have only come across a handful of toons that have high gags that dont listen to strat advice.
I only care about their gags and laff. sometimes i find it annoying when toons walking off the vp elevator and big toons are complaining about bad splits because they get stuck with smaller suit toons, but not every small suit toon has bad gags. it's just that a lot of the ones who are complaining, they are assuming everything's going to turn out bad but might not be as bad as you think.
Only thing I base on whether to invite someone is gags.
The VP is the only boss where low toons can play in terms of low laff/gags. So for the VP, I check laff/gags and ignore the suit, every other boss fight, I also check laff/gags, but also consider their suit.
Or being carried
just by gags tbh. higher laff is better but i'd rather take a 45 laff cold caller with all maxed gags than a 110 hollywood that doesnt have any maxed gags/only has 1 or 2 maxed. besides, some of the best players ive seen in the game were ubers, since they usually have 1 or 2 other toons
never by suit. i didnt start working on sellbot on my 2nd toon until i was over 105 laff with many maxed gags, so she had a cold caller suit. sure suit CAN be used as a way to judge how experienced they are, but unless they actually say that the toon they are on is their first, you will never know if they have other toons, toons that may even be maxed in that boss. imo, in sellbot at least, the suit basically just says how many times they've done a vp on that toon, nothing else.
For sell and cash no, just gags. For law and boss definitely, as it's most likely low suits will play horrendously (especially in the ceo)
In CEO i've predicted ever since being a head hunter level 6, that any flunky > yesmen will panic and get snacks at 70 laff, or die.
Have only been wrong twice at that as well.
yeah exactly, they normally don't do the one fog properly as well. Most times I do a CEO I just leave if there is a certain amount of low suits, or a lack of high suits.
Definitely by gags.
I don't judge people heavily on suits, for one main reason.
I never VP'd. I was a high laff/gag Cold Caller. My very first VP was when I had 87 laff, and mostly maxed gags. I watched videos of the VP, and I just never was interested in doing them. Now, I enjoy the VP.
When I see a Cold Caller, I'll still look at their gags and laff, and it's usually the same. Level 5 throw (at best) and level 4's or lower for the other tracks. I'll still take some of them in, and help them through the VP. Judging someone on their suit is stupid, at least in my opinion.
I've always said gags are the best indicator. It's not totally reliable, as there are some feeble-minded folks who have maxed gags but don't know how to use them. I've also done bosses on toons with bad gags and I know what I'm doing. It's impossible to know unless you've gone with them before.
I don't judge suits cogs in VP Sellbot. I only check laff and gags. But some people need toontask to pass Daisy Garden. But I always check their laff and gags.
