Now, I don't want to be a Debbie Downer or anything, but I've noticed something far from toony about quite a few strong toons (90+ laff with maxed or almost maxed gags); They're incredibly full of themselves.

I'm not saying that ALL strong toons are like that, as I'm friends with a few and they're quite nice. But I keep running into strong toons who tell anyone with less than 75-80 laff points and level 6 gags that they're "too weak" for a lot of things, like 5 story bldgs in Donald's Dreamland/The Brrrgh, Coin Mints, and The Front Three. It's really rude and mean. They seem to forget that they weren't always strong toons, and ignore the fact that you don't need all possible gags and really high laff to do things.

I've also noticed that if toons weaker than them use ANYTHING other than Throw, Squirt, or whatever they tell you to use gags, they say "no training" (or something along those lines). The thing is, using ANY gag is technically training it. So, by telling the weaker toons (who they bag on for not having the strongest gags available) that they're "not allowed to train", they're saying "don't use any of your gags ever". You can't get bigger gags without using the ones you have.

I don't know how these toons have forgotten these things. It's really painful to see these toons (some adults, some children/minors) being so mean to others like this, and it's taking a lot of fun out of playing. Some even harassed me for helping a child I babysit (who I have helped get into the game and help with a lot of her tasks) through bigger buildings for tasks because she's only at around 45 laff with her toon. They told me not to "waste my time with weak toons" because "it will hold me back"!

Point is, I just wanted to put it out there that the rude strong toons need to knock their ego down a few pegs...They're taking away the fun for those trying to enjoy themselves and/or become strong toons. I'm not posting this to be mean or bully anyone, it's just a little PSA. Please, everyone, no matter how strong or weak your toon is, don't put down other toons for not matching up to you in laff/gag level. We need to help each other do Toontastic things to save our home from the Cogs!

UPDATE: I can officially say that Toontown is no longer fun. In the short time I was on today, I was being rudely and a bit violently harassed almost constantly because I posted this. If that doesn't prove my point (as all the toons harassing me were "strong" toons), then no one but myself will ever get said point. So, I hope the bullies are happy that they have now ruined the one thing I actually looked forward to doing for a bit each day. Congratulations, you now fully qualify as terrible people, and I may never play as Candy Lemonswirl again to avoid you finding amusement in ruining the fun and enjoyment of others.

It really depends on what situation you are at. If you have no maxed gags at 75 laff then you're considered weak in my eyes. Dreamland's tasks are some of the hardest in the game, meaning that you have to have to have strong gags to complete those gags. You should at least have 3 or 4 max gags before you leave the Brrrgh, because Lil Oldman's tasks will earn you up some gag points. The thing with your toons saying "don't train" is also incorrect in my eyes. If you join randoms in a building and there's twoo level 8 cogs on the first floor. Two people could cream pie each of the cogs and they would go down. But let's say two cream the left, one creams the right, and then someone uses their level 2 drop on the right. One cog is still alive, making the team take damage, and the building taking more time to complete.

Though you helping with lower toons is fine because it won't hold you back in the slightest. If anything it's helping your gags improve if they're not maxed already. But if the toon has low gags for the playground they're doing their tasks in, then go help them train up so their gags can actually do something. Because when they wanna do boss battle with level 5 average gags, then they're never gonna get invited or they're gonna get carried. Carrying toons is my least favorite things by far. I hate it even more than the stupid guilds Vibrant Valley has, and even more then rude toons. Carrying someone is basically saying, "You shouldn't be here, but I'm gonna help you anyways." That tells the low toon that they can beat the boss, but only when high toons are with them. Making them wait in the lobby begging for Hollywoods to invite them.

Just saying, I'd prefer trioing a C Office than bringing a toon in the brrrgh who needs Eagles. Unless that toon has well developed gags. This usually proves thy have experience and know the rules

There is also an issue of "courtesy" here. Some "unqualified toons" (ex. 40 laffers in VP or toons without their bossbot suit tasks in the front 3) just simply shouldn't even bother joining in. What they SHOULD do is train up and get to the appropriate level worthy of doing specific boss battles. It's a courtesy for all toons doing the battle. I didn't do my first VP until I was 83 laff and 4 maxed gag tracks. Believe me, tons of people still invited me even though I was a Cold Caller.

Nevertheless it does suck to have rude toons and even if I have to deal with low-level toons, I just silently facepalm myself and deal with it.

    But bottomline:
You should not be doing mints, golf courses, etc, if you are not READY for them.
No, "I need to get stronger", or "I'm just training up my gags" are not excuses either. You get stronger OUTSIDE of boss battles, factories, and mints, not INSIDE.

    Peace Out.

When it really comes down to it, I don't care what I once was, if you're 55 laff and you want to do a 5 story in DDL, that's not right, because you risk dying, and the building is harder for the rest of those involved. I'll also say, that for VP, you shouldn't go in there low, because it's difficult and disabling for any other toon involved. They can use the "you were like me" argument all they want, because frankly, I wasn't, many people weren't. Why? Because I wasn't rude and knew my own abilities. Plus, when lower toons enter VP, I've tended to notice that they don't like listening. There was a situation where there was 1 level 12, and 3 cold callers. Toon A and B used low sound, and I hit the level 12 directly, while Toon D decided to lure, hurting the rest of us.

And as far as low toons in Offices or Front Threes, it doesn't make any sense. When you're in early DDL and TB, nobody NEEDS these factories, they just want to roll with the big guys, whereas they could just do buildings, therefore not hurting others during a battle, and frankly getting to the point where they NEED the Offices or Golf Courses, that much faster.

You know, Im pretty mean if you make me mad, anger issues, so if you are like "im not weak" and you are VERY weak, Im going to snap at you and say you're weak, I should be considered one of these toons.

  7. As for your training bit

Yes, you need to use gags to develop them. However I am going on judgement that was anywhere but the streets/building.
You should not be using gags on a cog that they don't destroy or involve a destroying combination. I'd tell someone not to train if they used quicksand on a level 12 as well, since a cake and a cream pie works just as well. However the trap unnecessarily unlures the cog, and will cost the team unnecessary damage unless the other two take the cog down.

None of you are getting my point. I'm not talking about the new toons who try to do big stuff. I'm talking about ones who know what they're doing, they know how to get things done, and know their limits. I've gone through Coin Mints and 5 Story buildings in DDL with other toons under 80 laff who didn't have all of their tracks maxed, but we used great strategy and did just fine. No one came close to dying. As for the "training" thing, I've had the strong, big ego toons tell me the same stuff in fights on the street, even if they joined my solo battle when I was using a gag that would finish it off, though the gag was a lower level than the cog. And, thanks to this post, multiple people harassed me in game today, and I had to stop playing to get away from the uncalled for and kinda violent verbal harassment. One even tried to get me killed in a street fight!

I agree with your post, but this forum isn't extremely popular, so the people harassing you were probably just a coincidence on TTR.

Just out of curiosity, do you usually go to Vibrant Valley, by any chance, Rayray?

The majority of the harassment comes from the toons in that district. If she's been harassed there, she shouldn't go to that district anymore.

Title says it all. Do you have a story about someone greening or being rude to you or to others?

This didn't happen to me, at least not yet, but it did happen to one of my friends. Apparently, he got greened simply because he's "not supposed to be at that area yet." My friend had a task in said area. In this case, this would mean that the greener judged him based on gags or laff and greened him for it. Shameful.

So many stories of me greening where do I begin?
Well, I'll start off with me being innocent, I evaded a Greener In the pie round 3-4 of them, by playing smart, threatening to record, (which I did) did I get hate? Oh yea, but was it worth it. YEP
