Warning: You are about to read a rant. But I really needed to express to my fellow toons this horrible building experience in the Brrrgh. So there was an ambulance chaser invasion. It started off with just me and this one toon waiting outside the building, but then a few toons came running by and we all jumped in the elevator, as there wasn't too much time left of the invasion. On the first level, one of the toons in the group wanted a different invasion that had just started and purposely closed out the game and left. So the next couple levels with me and a couple 50-something laffers went well (I'm 60 laff), with the exception of some toon-up failure. Then I believe on the third level, the invasion ended and we were stuck to face the remaining sellbots. This didn't go so great, as lure failed multiple times and toon-up wasn't doing great either. But we made it through the next two floors. Then on the fifth floor, things just went terribly wrong. My last magnet missed against level 10s and 11s. And then one of the toons quickly went sad as the last cog attacked. As I began panicking, I noticed that I was by myself. The remaining toon that was with me must have purposely left, because he saw we weren't going to succeed. But I tried to stick with it, and I desperately used my Barnacle Bessie 5 star drop SOS card, sort of out of panic. I'm assuming you all can guess what happened next. It missed. And so the story ends with me going sad as the line of four cogs all attack me, and of course ending up back at the Brrrgh playground. One of the worst buildings ever.
I hear ya. I played TTO in the old days and I've had alot of bad buildings. I've died in Floor 3/5, Floor 2/5 Floor 4/5 even Floor 5/5. It's sooo annoying so I feel your pain. I'm sorry it ended that way
I gotcha, me too. Not every building/boss/street fight is going to be perfect. It can be pretty easy for them to go wrong in the lower levels (especially in the Brrrgh when things start getting pretty tough). I just couldn't believe how the two people left and then Bessie missed. grrr. When I get to LOM in the next couple days, I need to plan out better who I do the buildings with so this doesn't happen anymore.
Yeah, good luck. And glad you understand TT doesn't owe u perfection, SOOO many Toons I met back in the day didn't understand that I respect ur wisdom

This reminds me of a very awesome building that I will never forget. I actually done a building in a Robber Baron invasion, and we were doing okay until we got to the last building. There were four robber barons and we tried to big magnet them but it missed. They spammed power trip and the lure toon died. We tried using a small magnet but it missed as well. I thought I was gonna go sad, but their power trips missed quite alot. We ended up hitting them turn after turn and we tooned up to where we barely lived after we gotten the barons. Their power trips kept missing and we were all being like, "LMFAO" and everything! That was a great memory, defeating that building!
Yikes. I know how you feel. I've died on the 1st floor ONLY! Well, considering it was me, alone, against some level 4 Name-Droppers and only level 1 sound...things did not end well.
That is a great memory to have. You made it through a tough challenge and I'm sure learned from it. I would have been so happy if I were you guys!
Ugh, I've met a whole lot of toons so fair who have either bailed when the going gets tough or just casually say "Well I can just close the game" about bldgs or factory runs.I'm awfully surprised by how many people do this. :/
Toontown has always been a positive community, but a reason why TTO closed was because people got negative. When people are negative, other people often want to stay away. After enough drama, people quit paying for membership. Because of THAT, TTO eventually closed. I know there are other reasons why it closed, but that is the main root of it all I think. Negativity.
People leaving buildings/factories/bosses has always been a thing, though unfortunate. But I agree with you, Terranort. Although I officially stopped playing in 2011, I've heard from people, looked stuff up, watched videos, etc. and saw how much TTO changed in those last couple years. It didn't seem fun anymore, cause people seemed to be a lot meaner, greening became a big thing, and stuff like hacking emerged. And although I didn't witness it first hand, I can definitely understand what you're saying and can understand how people wouldn't want to play in that sort of gaming environment. I know I wouldn't.
I read up on greening and wow it is rlly rlly mean. I am glad I quit in 2007 back when Toontown Community was supportive and kind. The Toontown you describe-it makes me really sad
