Frog is on the list with 51 votes as of this post. Yeah that is pretty crappy that they got approved though in all honesty. It's going to attract the wrong crowd to the game with the yiff they'll undoubtedly bring to the game. Not saying everyone who plays fox or all the furries who decide to try out toontown would go yiffing, but there will be a decent bunch who will. It looks pretty much locked in that they'll be the next species since they already lead over 200 votes compared to cows, so better get prepared for their inevitable arrival. I went ahead and reread the news post about the election on the toontown rewritten website. It says that the most popular AND creative, note the AND as well as creative, nominations will be chosen for the next round after ToonFest in October. Foxes are in no way creative whatsoever since that's pretty much the most popular animal that furries associate with, so can't fit in with that criteria in my view. I doubt that'll change anything and they'll cave and give foxes, but it gives me a small hope that they won't let foxes pass nominations based on that supposed criteria.

Yeah I wouldn't mind so much if foxes weren't so similar to cats. Literally on a game like this the only distinction would be snout length and a tiny change in ears more than likely. We need a larger distinction like elephant, frog, goat, etc. Something with a noticeable difference that you can tell at a glance is 100% a different species.
Honestly, I agree too. Toons dont even have tails, which is the most defining characteristic of foxes. I feel like when they release models and the voting is narrowed down, people will vote for other toons (at least I am hoping). There are so many other cute choices to vote for!! Deer would be adorable
Ikr, fox is way too similar to cat. Whatever, I guess it'll be cool to see any animal as a toon anyway, even if it is almost the exact same thing as an existing species.
Considering toontown take's place in Walt Disney viewpoint of the world (1950's vibe, bright and colorful... mickey plastered over the walls) but to be honest there is only two animated feature that contains a fox, which is disney's Song of the South, staring brer rabbit, brer bear, and brer fox.As well as the fox and the hound. Heck even a google search turned up very little
