So if you've been here awhile you know how much we love debating on sound. The general agreement is that shouldn't be removed but rather nerfed. How do you feel about lowering the accuracy as a nerf?
No. Despite the high accuracy, I've had plenty of experiences where sound missed. I don't think a nerf is needed.
To me, that shows an unhealthy reliance on sound. If things get in "high tension" on the rare occasions that the high accuracy gag misses, then that can show unprepared-ness.
We need a nerf. If not remove it entirely, at least that. I think accuracy would be a great thing to lower.
It's fine as is honestly. When you're an adult on a time crunch to get stuff done, you'll understand. Toontown relies too heavily on RNG as is to make it artificially difficult as there is no actual skill to any of the cog rounds just memorization since it's one of the most stripped down battle systems of all mmos. If higher difficulty levels are introduced for bosses maybe have the cogs have higher defense values so that coordinating stuns becomes more important, but for the boring grindy parts of the game like back nines and d.a. offices it's already slow as is and really doesn't need a nerf at those.
This is more than necessary, because it fixes the issue everyone has with sound; It can too easily remove 12s. Literally if the accuracy were medium, every cog under level 10 would still have the same 95%. In fact, the only people it would more thoroughly effect are people who didn't have sound maxed. I'm not sure you even know how accuracy is calculated. If you have time out of your busy busy schedule please read this so you can make an educated decision. Yes I do know how its calculated, so don't assume I don't know this stuff because I have a different opinion than you. I would love to see your data where you inferred that "everyone" has this issue with sound. I even made a concession later on in the post which you conveniently ignored that higher difficulty levels at bosses could provide more defense that impact your accuracy, so if you want RNGesus to screw you over and over again you can opt in for that for greater rewards. Once you learn all the gag combos, there's nothing all that difficult in this game so all this would do is provide some tedium to an already tedious game.
Ahh, my inbox has exploded.[DOUBLEPOST=1480966082,1480965491][/DOUBLEPOST] Or i just want to enjoy the game like i did when it first came out...Toontown fights are like a giant algorithm, its hard at first but once you figure it out you just wanna enjoy it. with that being said, removing sound would be an awful, awful move. As far as your unhealthy comment goes, i can use whatever gag i want as many times as i want. just because its in your mind it looks like a reliance on a certain gag, doesnt mean i cant play how i want to play. I just wanna play the toontown i played with my mother and sisters when i was younger. The feeling of remembering all the good times with my family while playing this game helps me through my chaotic, busy life that can sometimes bring me down to dark places no one should be. #DontTakeMyGags
Well the title of the thread is literally about Lowering sounds accuracy so I don't know where you got your don't take my gags away crap, and honestly I don't see how lowering sounds accuracy stomps on your childhood memories lol. Also your bit on "I can do whatever I want" is extremely ignorant seeing how this is a teamwork based game
The don't take my gags away wasn't meant to be taken seriously lol. Lowering its accuracy doesn't stomp on it, removing it as a whole does. A team work based game that i can solo for the most part if that's how i want to play.
Removing sound isnt relevant? I'm pretty sure i've seen people mention doing said thing in this post. And i assume you've totally forgot about my original post. Either way i'm done responding to this certain post. Have a toontastic night!
lol it was pretty obvious that i was referring to your second long one- also, you're prob thinking of the thread dedicated to removal of sound, there aren't posts on this thread suggesting that
