Hey, toons! I was just wondering... did any of you ever play Disney's Virtual Magic Kingdom (or VMK for short)? I feel like I'm the only one. For those of you who are wondering what the heck VMK is... it was an MMO that opened in May 2005. You basically got to create a human character and roam around a virtual representation of the theme parks in Disneyland. You could interact with other players, customize your character, collect and trade rare items and you could even search for Hidden Mickeys in-game, along with other quests that you could also interact with at the real-life Disneyland. Sadly, much like TTO, the game shut was down in May 2008 after 3 years of game-play. Fans were upset, but Disney claims the game was just a promotion and they had no intentions of keeping it open. ALSO much like TTO... it was reopened by a dedicated team of players and fans who missed the game. myVMK opened sometime in 2013 (around the same time TTO shut down) and is an exact replica of the old game. _____________________________________________________________ If any of you happen to play myVMK, please comment on this thread! I forgot this was a thing! I never played it, sadly. I'm reading a book that talks about it a lot, and that's when I realized it was an actual game.
I've forgotten about this for so many years. I used to play this so many times. Sucks that it hardly has a fanbase.
Oh, that's interesting! What book? Right?! I go on myVMK from time to time, but it's really sad... I know the game was only out for 5 years but there was so much hype.
I do! literally just made a forum account because I saw this post lol. I've been playing MyVMK almost since it opened and back when I was little I played VMK for 2 and a half years. I also played VFK for a little after VMK closed but it wasn't the same. I always asked people online if they know what VMK is and nobody ever does so I'm glad I finally found someone!! My user on VMK used to be "Brunette.Rose" but on the new one it's just "Kyla"
I think I've played MyVMK before, but got bored and quit after a few minutes, I might try it out again, if I do I'll be sure to post my username here
I played VMK as well; I was friends with a Staff apparently outside of the game. They came to my house. His mom was my friend Corey from Kindergarten. I told his mom that I was dealing with a lot of verbal abuse.
