Because people aren't helping each other like in the old days, everybody is greedy, everybody just thinks about themselves, Well not everyone but I mean most of the people these days.
I remember seeing a video of somebody revealing someone else's personal information because that person once hacked TTR. And I heard a rumor that somebody got shot for greening their friend. All of this over toontown. This insanity over something as dumb as toontown.
the community got older and somehow meaner i guess, and they always have to say they're better because they "played tto since they were 4 years old" even though everyone else did too
well i for one will help anyone who asks me. its impossible to progress without working as a team! i play TTO as well and thats how i played then! no reason to be greedy everyone is just trying to have fun
I'm pretty sure that would've made news headlines or something if the reason was as ridiculous as that.
May not fit into the conversation, but what about the toontown hatebase? From what I've seen it's just a bunch of retarded "UBERR MLG MEMMERS PEPE 420 4CHAN" type of people.
When a fanbase grows, the community gets worse Just check the undertale, mlp and fnaf communities Undertale wasn't too bad back then,it gotten worse from where it started but it's still cool and bearable Mlp community is OK as of now(the fanbase is dwindling)but there has said still been some really bad stuff Fnaf is bollocks As for toontown,I think it's pretty much like the undertale community(maybe a little worse?) Sry for the long winded response lol
The undertale fandom is great imo. The only thing that's making it go downhill is the whole "undertail" thing on tumblr. Do yourself a favor and don't look it up. The more a fanbase grows, the more people are in it. You're guaranteed to find some nasty people when you have a fanbase as big as toontowns'. At least this fanbase isn't as bad as MLP's. Grown men in fedoras writing fanfiction about cartoon ponies is just ,, then again TT has literal fanart of cog x toon
yeahhh this is so true. i did a cfo with someone and another person, who kept throwing helmets on the cfo. i said sorry once, because i threw a helmet once, but i also thanked the someone - who made a comment about having to remove sooo many helmets. so i guess she assumed i was the one responsible for all the helmets because im the one who took responsibility that one time.... the next time we did a cfo together she said "strike one" when i made a weird gag choice and she was on my back the whole time during the rest of that cfo. i said "oopsie" when someone else threw a helmet because i could tell they felt bad and i just wanted to lighten the situation, and so she assumed it was my fault lol. "strike two." as someone with anxiety problems who uses TTR as a release, i am not trying to get more anxiety from random people who feel the need to judge and call out my gameplay. im really light hearted and funny when i play so when someone is all serious like this, it really throws me off. and i find that this type of person usually takes comedy offensively, so its even worse argh. it seems like there are way more of this type of player in TTR than was in TTO. you can usually tell who's chill or not pretty quickly, but the worst is when cool people turn out to be sleazy or needlessly mean/critical. i think everyone has days where they are cranky or unfocused or whatever but some people are in that mindset all the time. thats when it's time to turn off the computer and pet a puppy or punch a bag or write a poem or online shop or whatever you need to do. if you want to be mean to relieve stress, in a video game, you have tons of options. TTR is not your best one. i do feel like people put a lot into TTR, like it's a cure-all. but even though it's pretty awesome, it can't be your livelihood.
Ummmmm because people take this too seriously If someone uses a whistle at VP OH FOR GOD'S SAKE WHAT THE JESUS MY GOD If someone decides to train at a VP FOR CHRIST'S SAKE REPORT HIM AND BURN DOWN HIS HOUSE Sure, people shouldn't train or use whistles at a VP. But you don't have to initiate DEFCON 1 and bully people. I mean there are tons of rude toons and most of them are probably like that because we've all gotten older since TTO. So yeah we're a real inviting bunch to new TTR players aren't we?
By nature, humans are awful, so if there are no real consequences for acting however you want on the internet, why shouldn't you?
Every online community will have a bad community at one point. It's unavoidable. Even a community notorious for having an excellent community (ToonTown) will have it's rough patches. The community will get better and stay good for a while, then turn bad again, and good again, etc. It happens to every online community. Nothing worth fretting over, just don't let the rotten eggs get to you. It'll be over soon enough if you don't feed into it.
you have dumb lil kids you have teens that havent grown out of being idiots you have adults that live in a fantasy world of roses and rainbows that are alarmingly unintelligent this is why the community is bad pre 2011 roblox had probably the dumbest community on the internet Fastward to now and that stupidity has transformed into toxin lol
YES YES YES You've put it just right LOL But I would say that the kids are probably the best part of our playerbase............
