i agree the kids seem to be the only ones who don't flame people (for the most part), and some of them are pretty good at the game, too. sometimes i'll be talking to someone and they'll mention that they're like 8 years old and i'm totally taken off guard. but then sometimes they're completely annoying and unskilled (but some teens and adults are, too)

I'm guessing it's because everyone grew up, having experienced the struggles of life and learning that you get more when taking instead of giving. It just becomes a vicious circle from there on. People are rude, then it upsets other people, then those people become rude because they are upset.
Just wanted to quote this to say I agree 100%. League of Legends is a prime example. One of the most popular games on the internet, but the community is one of a kind. You've never seen anything like it.

I admit, I find humor like that a bit funny. I usually just laugh it off whenever I see people like that. Hey, they're missing out on a great game.

  4. Because despite the fact that "most ttr players are ages 13+" people are still super immature and have little brain power.

Well I was only 8 years old in 2008, so I was part of that dumb community. :)

Off topic but... that is a massively wrong stereotype. The MLP fandom has both men and women and a good majority of them are content to just watch the show. Others will write fanfictions yes, but every fandom will do that. I'd be willing to discuss both sides with you on this through private messages though.

I WAS in the MLP fandom, and sadly am ashamed to say it. I found MY experience with the fanbase to be pure cringe and I just guess it wasn't my thing.[DOUBLEPOST=1463704106,1463703997][/DOUBLEPOST]
    excuse me

Fair enough, as someone who is still in it, I felt slightly obligated to refute the stereotype you presented. It seems my experiences thus far have been quite better than yours unfortunately. Then again I stick to key sites that haven't gone off the deep end so that might be to thank for it.

I agree. Back in the old days (I know I never got to live in that Nirvana Era), when Toons would VP with each other, Cold Callers actually HELPED EACH OTHER, but often fail/survive. Now the noobs don't help each other at all.

Oh yeah I remember the olden days when I was conpletely fine, probably screwed up a lot, and yet everyone tolerated me. It was nice. Then I come on later and the whole deal got bad, real bad. Everyone crammed in one or two districts, hostility all up the cog hqs, greeners everywhere, it was a mess. Since playing ttr I haven't found anyone particularly hostile, just some needlessly angry people. The worst I've gotten so far has been being reprimanded for training in the streets and why I don't just train level one gags in four story buildings. Sorry, but we all don't have a harem of powerful toons willing to tolerate training level one lure against level 10 cogs.

Even though some high lv toons are not acceptive of low lv toons in Boss Battles, the low lv toons don't take the initiative to get stronger so they can get invited, they just waste more time with no results. Basically this game is an incarnation of how most people are in real life.

They expect to get stuff without working towards it and they waste more time begging for something they don't want to work for. Life will be better for most of us if we can just take a break every once in a while from the nation of stupidity (aka forums and internet).

We can't make excuses about what other people do to us. It's up to you as a person to decide what the outcome will be, but you have to work for it and not waste time. VP Lobbying without invites is one of the best ways to waste your time instead of working your way up to get invited into Boss runs.

It's okay to ask for help or say that you're a newbie, but if you say so then you should be listening to your teammates at all time till you can get around the ropes.

But it was during an invasion. He never told me at all that he was going to use drop. He still pressed it even after I chose lure. It wasn't during a boss battle, I'm too low for those.

So honestly, it really wasn't my fault in my opinion. Though in his eyes it was.

A failed VP I was in had 4 SOS shoppers, which they didn't even make a public notice that they were doing it.

Out of the many VPs I've done on TTO, I can't recall one that had many SOS shoppers in Nutty River. I guess because guilds were a thing back on TTO, not sure if they are for TTR. But then again, I don't really remember any VPs I did with randoms back then.

Another dumb thing I've experienced in TTR is a 16 laff dog (with a Cold Caller level 3 suit and only level 3 throw & squirt, let that sink in...) was trolling toons from the moment they enter the lobby by inviting them to a boarding group and then getting on the elevator so that they can't hop off. He only had 1/16 of his laff and no gags, lol.

Besides those, my entire experience with TTR for the past couple weeks have been pretty easygoing. I haven't met any unnecessarily angry people yet, although I'm only at 67 laff right now and not really looking to do boss battles anytime soon.

idk I just think people in general are toxic.. I don't socialise LOL.
No but seriously, it's just because nowadays parents don't seem to make their children aware of the real world and the way things actually are.. Newsflash: you're not the centre of the universe. I'm sorry. Deepest sympathies, kids.

TTO had more players than TTR, which meant in theory you would've encountered more negative things... but you didn't. Why TTR lost strats among lower players, I don't know but it's not hard to listen or google it

Sorry to revive this year old thread, but it's probably due to the fact that people will yell at you and go crazy if you make a mistake. People take this game way more seriously now, and it's gotten worse. Now it's different if they keep on repeatedly doing it more than twice is not a mistake.
